to bring some of the items that we would need to make the picnic successful. Shirley Nagle, asked Barb to contact all parish
representatives to advertise in their church bulletin at least  one week before the picnic.  Shirley assured John that if something
else would come up to please ask for our help.

C Work day at retreat center-September 22, 2007:

Shirley Nagle  made a form to be used at the picnic for people to sign  up .  It will include Name, Phone Number, what are they
willing to do, and  if they are certified in certain areas.  Decision was made that  because we have so much to do that everyone
would find their own car  pool. They could meet at their own church parking lot.  We need to arrive at Elk by 9am, if possible. Phyllis
Gogue and Nyrma  Navarro volunteered to provide the lunch to be served at 12 noon.     Everyone will provide their own drinks and
cleaning supplies. John Frost  will send  an e-mail with “Work Day Information” to the community.
Phyllis Gogue volunteered the use of her email in order for the community to respond for those who desire to come to help.  After
the picnic we will have an idea of how many helpers will come and then they can see how many people to expect and prepare for
that amount.

D.  Cursillo Kids:  John Frost will send an email the Wednesday before Ultreya to notify people that effective October, 2007  we will
be providing day care only during Ultreya . Phyllis Gogue made a motion to pay $7.00 an hour for a qualified teenage, not to exceed
two teenagers for  each Ultreya. Seconded by Deacon Fred Jones. Discussion: If teen is doing it for any type of credit for
confirmation project ,  Deacon Fred Jones suggested that we have an adult rotation sheet to help teenager out. Anyone interested
in using the service should respond to : cursillokids@aol.com.  Shirley will be checking it for responses.

E. Inventory/assessment of retreat center (August 20, 2007):

Each board member received a copy of the partial inventory that was done.  Orie Sanchez said that most of the plastic blue chairs
are gone.  Deacon Fred suggested that Shirley Nagle call Liz, the owner, and check on the chairs.
Phyllis suggested that part of the clean up should include the area where the chairs are stored and the storage area downstairs
where the cleaning supplies are kept.  John Frost said that one of our cursillitas is willing to make new signs for the Way of the
Cross.  Orie Sanchez had asked about mowing the grass as you enter the Center.  John Frost said it is best to just concentrate on
the Center.

F. Engineering Department Report:

The 62nd Engineering from Fort Hood sent a team to do all the survey on the grounds where the bridge is located.  They spoke to
John and Liz about the situation.  Now they have to take their report back to the Commander and pray that they agree to do some of
the repairs.  John will follow it up, but don’t want to push too much.  Good idea.

G By-Laws:

The By-Laws were signed by most of the Board Members.  It will be taken to Linda Abrams for her signature.  Phyllis Gogue will
give John a copy of them to be put on the web site.  One copy will go to Deacon Fred Jones, One copy to the Lay Director, and one

VI: Board Member Reports:
Due to the fact that we had so much to discuss, with the exception of the treasurer’s report and secretary’s minutes , we did not
have time to hear them.

Being no further business Deacon Fred Jones closed with prayer.  Next Board Meeting will be on Friday, October 5, 2007, at 6:30
pm at Holy Family in Copperas Cove.

ADDEMDUM:  The following day after the Board Meeting, our Lay Director, Shirley Nagle  email all the board members with the
exception of Nyrma Navarro-she has no email.  She had time to pray about it and asked the board to consider Cursillo Funds to be
used for the clean up date Sept. 22, 2007.  This is to include all the food, drinks, and cleaning supplies.  She felt that since we were
asking people to come forward to help su;;lies could be provided by the HOT account.

The board members replied and a decision was made by the majority that Cursillo would pick up the whole tab.
