CURSILLO BOARD MINUTES
April 2, 2006

The meeting was called to order by Linda Abrams, President at 4:28 p.m. on April 2, 2006 at the 58th  Street Chapel on Fort Hood.
Deacon Fred opened the meeting with a prayer.  Those in attendance were:

Linda Abrams                President
Deacon Fred                 Cursillo Deacon
Shirley Nagle                Lay Director
Allie Krebs                    Secretary
Cynthia Neve                Financial Secretary
Mike Krakowiak            Pre-Cursillo Coordinator
John Frost                    Post-Cursillo Coordinator and Webmaster

Congratulations to Nyrma Navarro for accepting the position of Assistant Lay Director.
Those absent were: Phyllis Gogue, Outside Palanca Coordinator and Nyrma Nararro, Assistant Lay Director.

Old Business:
Our next Ultreya will be on May 7, 2006 at the Women's closing at Elk.

Mats for the kitchen area at Elk were purchased at Sam's Club in Temple by Cynthia and Nyrma.

John Frost installed an antenna on the main building at the Elk Center so cell phone signals could be picked up easier. The base
station in the kitchen area can receive a signal.
It was motioned and seconded that we leave the antenna on the side of the building and not take it down after each weekend.

Fall coordinators for the women and men's weekends were discussed. Shirley and a member of the men's team will contact women
and men to see if they would be interested in being a Fall Coordinator.

There was a motion and second that the Spark be eliminated and all Cursillo information or articles be posted on the web site. Since all
Cursillo information will be posted on the web site and John Frost will handle the web site a motion was brought up to eliminate the
three additional yahoo accounts. The motion was seconded.

The road to the Elk Center has been repaired.

Financial Advisor and Secretary had no reports.

The amount of money we pay Liz for the use of the facilities at the Elk Center and the amount we pay Father Chuck for attending both
men and women's weekends was discussed.

The Pre-Cursillo Coordinator, Mike Krakowiak said he had nine people willing to drive the candidates and he had four pickup trucks. He
stated he had four drivers for the men's weekend as well.

New Business:
The end of summer picnic was discussed and several proposals were made as to where it could be held. John is looking into the
proposal sites. The tentative dates for the picnic are the 6th of August, the 13th of August or the 10th of September.  The Picnic would
begin at 3:00 p.m. and end around 6:00 p.m. There will be no mass served at the picnic site.

We are spending more than the allotted allowance on our food purchases. Our limit for food should be $400.00 and then look to the
community for food donations.

Casa Olay our of Temple does not donate food any longer, they will donate certificates.

It was motioned and seconded that we keep the curtain in the chapel open during our Ultreya and close the curtain when we leave.

Deacon Fred stated that we will have to replenish the wine and hosts when the supply goes down.

A discussion for a different day and time for the board meetings was tabled.
John Frost will attend the next Parish Council Meeting.
It was discussed that the board meet to discuss the duties of each position and whether any changes needed to be made.

Deacon Fred closed the meeting with a prayer at 5:53 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Allie Krebs
Secretary
