Darlene Lovelace offered to bring her horse to the Picnic next month in order to give rides to the kids.
Regarding the Cleanup from the last month’s men Cursillo weekend- cleanup went well. Point was made
not to move any furniture outside, as we have latitude to rearrange the downstairs room but not to take
furniture in and out. Also, ensure that the vacuum is not locked up because it belongs to the retreat
center.
Regarding the Picnic next month on the 6th of August at Dana Peak Park - The following are going to
bring the listed items:
Linda Abrams - snow cone machine.
John Frost - Coolers, syrup for the snowcones, the Karaoke machine, face painting stuff,
plates, cups, forks, knives, spoons.
Phyllis Gogue – moonwalk
Mike Krakowiak – garden hose
The advertising will be used for the picnic – Email (John F.), website (John F.), Cove Herald (Deacon
Jones), The leader (Deacon Jones), MCCW, Fort Hood Bulletin (Marie Powers)
A motion was made by Shirley Nagle for the board to provide the Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Buns, Coal,
Matches, while the community provide donations of food, entertainment. Motion was seconded by Mike
Krakowiak. The was then unanimously approved by all present.
John F. and Shirley N. were to contact Cynthia Neve once determining a date to pickup up the food.
Phyllis Gogue – Outside Palanca – request prayers for the Teen Cursillo Movement, exact name
uncertain.
Request that in reference to the Holy Family Church directory due to be published soon, that those
involved be considered a ministry and be included in the directory.
Deacon Fred - will make the financial request for the cost of the weekend for Elk Retreat center, Father
Chuck, and Food. He also briefed on the status availability of Priest and the scarcity at present of them.
The next ultreya was decided to be on September the 10th due to the first weekend being the Labor Day
weekend.
Shirley Nagle mention that we need to add an agenda item to approve the minutes of the last meeting.
The issue of membership in the national Cursillo center was raised. Since we are a military funded
movement, we should have reasonable grounds to request a waiver of the membership fee.
John Frost – Since Deacon Tim is a former teacher at the Cursillo Leadership School in Dallas, we should
invite him to be involved in Team formation as much as possible.
Meeting was closed with a prayer.
Respectfully submitted,
John Frost
Secretary (Acting)
