SAINT LUKE
The life and death decisions made each day by
medical professionals and next of kin of patients in
light of the laws that govern those decision are
becoming daily more complex.  We pray that these
decisions reflect the best discernment and that they
are in keeping with the will of God, the great and
divine healer.  We ask you, Saint Luke, patron of
physicians, to guide those who must make these
overwhelmingly difficult decisions to seek the
direction which will best serve God and his kingdom.

Amen.

Here is a New Prayer Request from Olivia Sungahid (osungahid@yahoo.com): Hi everyone!
This is a prayer request of special intention and thanksgiving.
First and foremost, praise be to God for He is so good. I thank Him for a wonderful and
successful Women's Weekend. It was a refreshing and meaningful experience. On the other
hand, I am praying with you my brothers and sisters for the Men's Weekend that they may
have a good turnout also.
Personally, I am asking for your prayers that I may be granted enough wisdom to make
crucial decisions especially for this year. I am also praying for a family member who takes
advantage of others' weaknesses. May that person realize that help is given freely and not
as an exchange of anything else.
Thank you all for keeping our Christian community.
Love and prayers,
Olivia

Here is A Prayer Update from Jessica Ganceres (maganceres@aol.com): Here is an update
on the husband of my friend in Chicago.  Mario is recovering well from being septic with
Legionella.  He still has some physical therapy to do and his kidneys are recovering.  Praise
God for the healing of this friend, pray for full recovery of his kidneys and body.  His
progress is evidence of God's healing grace.

Here are the prayer requests from the Ultreya today:

From Deacon Fred Jones: Please pray for my brother Bob, for his continued recovery
    from stroke.

From Cynthia Neve (cynneve@aol.com): Pray for the Men's Walk to Emmaus at
Highland Lakes Encampment at Marble Falls on April 10-13.

From John Frost: Thanks to all whom expressed concern at my mothers passing. She
has passed to eternity and today's Ultreya fittingly was about continuing on in our
journey after losing a relative. I am back now and trying to get caught up. If you sent
email while I was gone and would still like it to go out please email me and let me know
and I will send it out. Thanks again and God bless you.

Here is a New Prayer Request from Darlene Lovelace (DarlenLove@aol.com): A very dear
friend of mine from Texas Tech that I have known longer than I have known Ross just IM'd
me.  He's just recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.  He's been on mirapex,
but its not showing any signs of slowing this dreaded disease.  He is a dear person who is
so incredibly talented (a successful playwright and college professor in Houston); his wife
is an actress in L.A. This is just devastating news to him--to them--yet Dave is thankful they
now have a diagnosis for what has been plaguing him for over a year now. Please keep him
in your prayers.  Please ask God for a cure of this dreaded disease for all people afflicted by
it.  Please raise Dave up for healing, if it is God's Will, for strength and comfort as Dave and
his wife battle this disease.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Here is a prayer request from John Frost (cursillo7@clearwire.net): Please pray for my
mother, Deanna McGarvey, who passed away yesterday. She was 70 years old and was
diagnosed with cancer about a month and a half ago. She has been in much pain since and
yesterday passed into eternity. Again please pray for the repose of her soul and the
strength of my brother (and his family) who is handling the arrangements. Also please pray
for the teenager that stole my truck Monday and wrecked it while evading police. Pray that
while the judge is understanding of the teenagers situation, he is also firm in rendering a
just decision. Accordingly, please pray that the boy and the other two that were with him
(evading police) experience a sense of repentance and a sense of respect for others
property. Also, pray for parents to help their children form consciences that enable them to
serve God and society. Also please pray for strength and perseverance for the men's and
women's Cursillo team and the Cursillo movement as a whole. God bless you.

Here is A Prayer Update from Joseph E. Lord (jlord@hot.rr.com): Thanks everyone for all
the prayers for our families and for us.  We are still dealing with this situation and ask
everyone to continue praying for my mother-in-law who is in a nursing home due to a stroke
and is already legally blind from a previous one.  The latest update was yesterday, Easter,
from Joe's brother who is mentally challenged.  He said she is refusing to do her physical
therapy.  Aside from her strokes she has many other physical and mental problems and a
psychiatrist told her he could do nothing further for her until she made things right with God
and needless to say evidentially she hasn't.  She is a very bitter, angry, lonely lady and
needs prayer very badly.  One GOOD thing that did happen on our trip home to Fl. was my
brother-in-law was baptized and he is soooo happy.  He walked (he doesn't drive) to church
on Easter Sun. for the first time in years. He is 60 years old!  He had been trying to get
baptized for 20 years but his mother never would allow it.  Out of every bad situation
something positive happens and this was the best thing to happen on our trip! THANK YOU
JESUS!! My dad's recovery is slow as expected, he is 80. He had an aneurysm and it was at
the point of no return and they put in a stint. He is having trouble dealing with the slow
healing process and is getting depressed.  Please pray for a speedy recovery and that he
will soon be well and back to his normal self.  My mother fell at the Killeen airport, (the day
we left) bad start to the trip, and bruised herself up pretty bad, she is recovering quiet well,
but please keep her in your prayers also. She is 80 also and we just don't heal as fast at that
age.  Continue to pray for us as we will be making many trips back and forth to FL dealing
with my mother-in-law and brother-in-law.  Me and Joe both are amazed at how God will give
you the strength to do the necessary things when you have to. We will continue to update
you as we will be going back to FL April 15 after my doctors' appt.  Liz will be our mediator
as we have no access to a computer there.  Thanks again for all your love and prayers!!
Love to you all,
Your Bro. and Sister in Christ,
Joe & Evelyn Lord

Here is A Prayer Request from Ruby Volpitta (volpitta@earthlink.net): Please pray for my
brother Paul Crabtree who is in cnstant pain from an infection that has gone into the bones
of his face from a dental implant.  He has lost most of his teeth and some jaw bone through
surgery.  Many people are suffering from this but it is not widely known.  At this point it
seems nothing can be done except try to control the infection.  Your prayers will be greatly
appreciated.
